No power, no problem. Accordions are manual, so they close the same way whether the lights are on or not. That matters on the islands, where power can fail well before the storm arrives and evacuation traffic on the bridges and causeways builds fast.

Order before the season. Installs run about three to six weeks from order, so spring is the time to measure. Run them once a year. Open and close every shutter in late spring and rinse salt and sand out of the tracks. The locks are saltwater-rated, but a clean track is what keeps a closing to minutes.
